Blogs in the classroom

URL: http://community.oceana.org/blog

This blog includes so many great things! From the looks of the blog at least 2 or 3 people write on the blog during the week with recent events. They also include extremely useful information about different types of fish or legal acts about the ocean and preserving the life that lives in the ocean. The research on this page and the information as well, are both really thought out and organized. am impressed with the accuracy of their information and the way they quoted their sources as well which makes it look like a respectable website. The National Geographic website is cited on here many times which is another thing the children would be able to use during a project or assignment.

I cant believe how useful this website would be if i was having my students create a blog or do a project on the ocean. This would definitely be on my list of recommended sites for my students to visit. It is a mixture of informatinal blogs and entertainment blogs. It includes good information and i would be crazy not to use this within my classroom when assigning a project. This blog would be most helpful if i was doing a single research project because even though there is fun facts in their the majority of the blog is research focused.
